What are the differences between normal, biodegradable and biodegradable plastic bags?

In our daily life, the amount of plastic bags is quite large, and the types of plastic bags are also various. Usually, we rarely pay attention to the material of plastic bags and the impact on the environment after discarding them. With the promotion of the plastic ban, more and more consumers are paying attention to the degradation of plastic bags. Many customers will switch to biodegradable plastic bags, but many customers do not know the difference between ordinary plastic bags, biodegradable plastic bags and biodegradable bags. Here is to share with you:

Ordinary plastic bags are PE and other plastic materials, the main component is resin. A resin is a high molecular compound that has not been mixed with various additives. Resins account for about 40 ~ 100 of the total weight of plastic. The basic properties of plastics are mainly determined by the nature of resins, but additives also play an important role. Biodegradable plastic bags have national environmental protection standard GB/T21661-2008, traditional plastic bags do not have to comply with this standard. Traditional plastic bags can take 200 years or more to degrade after being discarded. Cause "white pollution" to the environment.

Biodegradable plastic bag: It literally means a biodegradable plastic bag, that is, it can be degraded, but it still contains plastic and other related ingredients. It is only partially degraded, but not completely. It is based on polyethylene plastic, adding photodegradation agent and calcium carbonate and other mineral powder made of plastic bags, also known as photodegradation plastic bags. This kind of plastic bag is melted by sunlight. However, the polyethylene after fen solution still exists in the natural environment. Although the white pollution can not be seen from the sight, the white pollution still infringes on the environment around us in the form of fine particles, which can be said to be a palliative rather than a root cause. To put it simply, the degradable plastic bags are still the same as the traditional plastic bags after being discarded, which will also pollute the environment to a certain extent. Its ultimate destination is actually the same as the traditional plastic bags, after they are discarded, they go to landfill or are incinerated, and cannot be processed for industrial compost degradation. Therefore, "biodegradable" is just "biodegradable", not "fully biodegradable". In a sense, the degradable plastic bag is not a feasible solution to solve the "white pollution", nor is it a "panacea" to solve the plastic bag pollution. In essence, it will still produce a lot of waste, and the degradable plastic bag is not actually degraded.

Biodegradable plastic bags: The material composition of biodegradable plastic bags is composed of PLA (polyru acid) and PBAT (polyadipic acid), such materials as PHAS, PBA, PBS, etc. They are recognized as environmentally friendly materials, harmless and green products. Biodegradable plastic bag material, also known as biofenolytic plastic, refers to the degradation caused by microorganisms in nature, such as soil or sandy soil, or in specific conditions, such as compost, anaerobic digestion, or aqueous culture medium. And Z will eventually be completely degraded into carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), water (H2O) and their contained elements of the mineralized inorganic salts and new biomass plastics.
